Warning Zone Heating Upgrade

The Trust supported Warning Zone when they were faced with the challenge of upgrading their heading system throughout the facility to enable young people to visit and interact comfortably during the winter months.

About the Cause

Warning Zone is a Leicester based charity dedicated to teaching life-skills and safeguarding children. Their mission is to deliver life-saving messages to children aged 10-11, catching them on a key transition in their lives as they venture into secondary schools, where they will meet new friends and are introduced to new experiences. At this age, children are given more independence and will be responsible for their actions, behaviours and decisions they make; both in their day to day life and online.

At Warning Zone's state-of-the-art facility, they aim to educate young people to enable them to understand risk, peer pressure, anti-social behaviour and the associated consequences. With the Internet and online presence being so widely accessed from young age, the new E-Safety zone educates children on cyber-bullying, grooming, scammers and much more.

Objectives

The site required an updated and upgraded heating supply which took the form of installing 13 high efficiency heating units, their associated fixtures and fittings and labour. The Trust covered the cost of the upgrade in full.
